After replacing my o2 sensor and new cats on my 2005 chrysler 300c 5.7 hemi, my codes were showing p0406. My car runs a little funny, especially at lower speeds. I will be replacing the EGR valve tomorrow. What I think is funny is I had less than a half tank when it came on. Next day, I fueled up and as soon as I started the car, light went off. code still showed if i read it but no light. Got below 1/2 tank, light came on, put gas in, light went off. Over the last 3 days, ive kept the tank above 1/2 and haven't seen the light come on and gas mileage went back up (was down to 16mpg with light on) I don't know why putting gas in would affect egr vavle??? and no, it's not my gas cap.
