Discuss the causes and fixes for P0344 Jeep OBDII Code
-
2006 Jeep Liberty 3.7 P0344 code happens when starting the car and while driving the car. Replaced cam and crank position sensors already.
-
Most of the times the Crankshaft Position Sensor or Crankshaft Position Sensor will take care of the problem. You next step is reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), there are some incidents reported, were the problem was the PCM program and not the sensors. Just make sure the sensors connectors are firmly connected.
-
Just paid the dealer $179 to diagnose and reprogram the PCM. Picked it up and on the way home it sputters and loses power on acceleration after two signals. Eventually smooths out. When you run it often it does it less times.
Any ideas without having a dealer through parts at it? -
I'm sorry you are still having problems. My only suggestions is to double check the Camshaft Position Sensor connection, and if possible replaced the sensor again. Make sure you use a factory sensor.
