  • Is there excessive smog while is running rough? Unfortunately there are many things that can cause the rough idle. I have seen for example: bad spark plugs (valve cover leaking oil into the spark plugs hole), blown head gasket, leaking injectors, bad gas, bad timing solenoids, etc. I recommend starting by check or replace all the spark plugs and if possible clean the throttle body as well.
