Code P0202 Ford Description

The Engine Control Module (ECM) supplies voltage to each fuel injector on the high control circuits. The ECM energizes each fuel injector by grounding the low control circuit of the fuel injector. The ECM monitors the status of the fuel injector circuits. When a fuel injector circuit condition is detected by the ECM, the affected fuel injector(s) is disabled. The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set when the ECM detects the fuel injector control circuit is open for greater than 2 s.

Discuss the causes and fixes for P0202 Ford OBDII Code

  • Running a little rough, was getting a P0302, replaced ignition coil then got the P0202 code

  • What model and year is your vehicle? sounds like the problem was not the ignition coil but the fuel injector.

  • 2005 Ford Expedition, after doing some research I checked the injector harness and I unplugged it and plugged it back in and realized that it might not have been on all the way to the click. That seems to have solved the problem. I did also replace the coil pack on cylinder #2 since I had one under warranty. Thx
