  • I have a 2004 Freestar 4.2, it has a P0180 code. Fuel temperature Sensor A circuit. Then dealer says this van does not have a fuel temperature sensor. I have no symptoms other than then engine light being on.
    I replaced the fuel filter and the Engine temperature sensor. Any ideas?

  • Is part of the Fuel Gauge Sender Unit / Fuel Pressure Sensor. You can't replace the sensor by it self you have to replace the Fuel Gauge Sender Unit Assembly.

    Have you tried clearing the code? sometimes the code is set when the fuel level gets too low.

  • After weeks of searching, I finally found a site that mentions that. The fuel temperature sensor and the fuel pressure sensor are in the same unit. I even had called the dealer and they said there is no fuel temp sensor. I found that out this morning, changed it and code is gone. Yes, I had cleared it many times, it came right back on. Thanks much for your response.
