The lowest manifold pressure occurs when the vehicle is idling or decelerating. The ECM monitors the MAP sensor signal for pressure outside of the normal range.
The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set when the ECM determines the MAP Sensor is stuck within the normal operating range. It accomplishes this by running 3 different models within the software to determine the values.
