I think people are far to quick to replace sensors just because a code is thrown. I feel it is equally as important to look into the probable cause and try to diagnose a bit ant fix ... If all else fails, then replace the sensors or whatever the "defective" part is.
I got a p0056 code once that actually threw my trans into limp mode. Turns out it was a fuse located in the compartment of the ecm under the hood. Once I changed the fuse, the trans came out of limp mode and the codes went away. Turns out it was a previous owners shotty workmanship in replacing the previous o2 sensor. He let the wiring touch the exhaust manifold and it melted the wiring causing it to short out and blow the fuse.
