I have a check engine light p0011 is the code. The recommendation for the fix was change oil. I changed it yesterday it was past due but only by a couple hundred miles and the oil was still almost full. (Was dirty) I cleared the code and it came back. When accelerating once in a while it sputters. Is there a certain amount of time I should let the oil circulate before bringing this in. I was told that the oil should fix the problem by a technician. Don’t feel like spending hundreds of dollars for someone to tell me nothing was wrong.

I’m not too too auto mechanic inclined but I have don’t work on a vehicle a few times and pretty big jobs. Do you think I should take it out and clean it if there’s gunk in it? Dealership does oil change it’s the reccomeded type not a 100% sure but synthetic 0w-20 I believe.

Also, I’d i drive this around for a few days I know the fuel economy will be crap and it rides a bit rough when accelerating, do I risk damaging the engine or something if i ride with the problem until the weekend?

Some had success cleaning the solenoid valves, but I haven't.
Usually the problem with the solenoids is that the plunge inside gets stuck, and other that poor fuel economy and some engine performance, I don't know about any other problems that could damage the engine.
