Hi, I had the malfunction indicator lamp come on and went online to figure out what it meant. The description was rather vague and I had to go to the dealer 3 times before they took it seriously and fixed the actuator. The first time they said they were busy and it was okay to still drive the car (they didn't seem to know what the symbol meant). I told them it was jerking at low speeds like maybe something was wrong with the fuel injection system or transmission. I made an appointment at another dealer for the next day and when I went for the appointment they were swamped, the service advisor just turned the light off and yelled at me for showing up 4 hours before they closed even though that was the appointment time I was given! When the light came back on a few weeks later, I got GM involved and went back to the first dealer but with an appointment. They just called and said the actuator was bad and they are putting a new one in. I always get my oil changed on time so I don't know why this happened unless they just charge me for the oil change and never actually do it?!? Anyway I am not sure why I have to go to such lengths to get my car fixed when a warning light comes on. They should take it seriously. I need safe, reliable transportation. I have a GM warranty but it seems priority is given to people that spending money outside warranty. Or walk-ins are given priority over people with appointments.
