As far as I know, then only way to reset the steering angle sensor is with an special OBDII scanner.

I have just spoken to a mondeo specialist garage and the steering angle/yaw sensor is half way up the column .
if it is not just a plug off then it is a full column removal to change the sensor ..
I am hoping the plug was knocked whilst i changed the clutch master cylinder but we will see when it stops raining .
