2008 Cadillac DTS and I am having codes U0101, U0100, U0140, C0242, and C0895. Traction control light comes on, Engine derate, low power and stabilizer traction is on as well. I pull over and reset the codes with my code reader. I am riding around with my code reader attached and on. The codes will not reset unless I shut the car down and turn it back with engine off. Sometimes I have to go through the reset process several times before it reset and allow me to take off or continue.

Looks like the control modules of your vehicle are not properly communicating. Sometimes that could happen when the battery charge is low or there is poor battery connection. Start by checking the battery charge and make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight. If the problem persist, the next step is to check the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector.

2011 dts, engine power reduced message comes on after hitting a good bump or series of bumps .
Svc Stabilitrac & Svc Traction Control message displays. Trans shifts hard low speed. Engine shuts off when making slow left turn. After shutting off engine for a few minutes car runs fine til running into another bump. Had same symptoms with code p0641 abs/ wheel speed sensor; passenger side front and back were not getting data. That was taken care of with replacing front abs sensor. But still get same symptoms with different code. Abs sensor's now sending data. Again symptoms only show up with hitting bump or sudden or big dip in the road. Any thoughts will be appreciated. WGA -
Do you have any other codes? The C0242 code means that the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) is requesting the Engine Control Module (ECM) to reduce torque or power, but the code doesn't say why the EBCM is requesting reduce power.
My best guess is that the EBCM, which monitors the ABS sensors, is detecting that one of the wheels is spinning more than it should, thus requesting a power reduction.
Make sure all the tires and wheels are the same diameter, the ABS sensors are working OK and clean.
