Ground is supplied at all times to the adjustable pedal switch. The adjustable pedal forward and rearward switches are inputs to the seat memory control module. When the switch is operated to the forward or rearward direction, it supplies a ground path for the signal inputs from the seat memory control module. The seat memory control module then commands the adjustable pedals motor to move in response to the switch signal. The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set when the seat memory control module detects a short to ground in the rearward signal circuit for greater than 60 s.
