Discuss the causes and fixes for C1131 Nissan OBDII Code

  • I am getting this code in the ABS system and my car has a complete loss of power and no acceleration. Another thing is my throttle body does not open at wot. But my throttle body is fine becasue I also put in my buddies which is same year and model and still not fixed. I'm getting 1.2v out of 5 when car is running but when the ignition is in the ON position it's getting all 4.9 something isn't translating to when the car is turned on. What can it be?
    Acceleration pedal position sensor?
    It's a 2005 g35 automatic by the way. Thanks

  • Any Pxxxx codes? Can you access the ECM? That codes means that the ABS Control Unit is no getting signal from the ECM. There should be a "P" code that explains the problem

  • No no other codes but c1131 is saying electric throttle control abnormal so you think the apps is the cause of the no power or acceleration and the tb not opening ?

  • Correct. My best guess is that there is a problem with the IPDM. The fuse and relay for the TB are in the IPDM (big fuse box next to the batttery).
I had a similar problem before and the IPDM was the solution

  • Fuse and realy

  • But I also don't understand why everything is good when the ignition is on but when car is on nothing opens and gets right voltage

  • I have the same problem and the same code and the same symptoms with a g37, what possible solutions can I try ?

  • Start by checking all the fuses and the ABS actuator connector (try disconnecting and reconnecting the ABS actuator, just to make sure the connector is fully connected).
If the fuses are OK then you may have to replace the ABS control unit (part of the ABS actuator).

  • whats up?! hey im getting the same c1131 code with a p1564 and p2135 with it. does that help explain whats going on

  • What model and year is your vehicle?

Sounds like you may have a problem with the Throttle Body:

    P2135 - Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch 'A'/'B' Voltage Correlation

  • Its a 2004 g35 as well. Advanced code reader gave me all three codes i mentioned beforehand but mine at home is only catching p2135. I cleared them out to see what happens and it came back a couple days later. Checked all the fuses and relays which look good. Any suggestions

  • The code is for the throttle body or accelerator pedal, but the throttle body is way more common. You could try cleaning the throttle body before replacing any parts.
