Discuss the causes and fixes for C0900 OBDII Code

  • Is there a fee or charge for this info?
IF NOT.. Do the codes c0899 and c0900 have to do with the airbags system on a 2007 silverado?

  • The information is free.

According to the factory service manual the C0899 and C0900 codes are not related to the airbag system.

I haven't had that problem before, but I checked a database of repairs for the same codes on a 07 Silverado and found a couple of instances where the problem was with the alternator not properly charging the battery. Replacing the alternator fixed the problem.

I suggest starting by checking the alternator charge.
