Code C0321 2014 GMC Sierra Description

The transfer case range actuator is also known as the transfer case motor, transfer case encoder motor, or transfer case two/four-wheel drive actuator assembly. The transfer case range actuator lock solenoid is part of the transfer case range actuator and cannot be serviced separately.
The transfer case control module controls the transfer case range actuator lock solenoid. The transfer case range actuator lock solenoid is released by being energized. This is accomplished by grounding the transfer case lock solenoid control circuit during range changes, and 4WD/AWD Automatic mode. Locking action is applied when power or ground is taken away from the lock solenoid, preventing the transfer case range actuator from moving. The system is capable of providing 2WD, 4WD High/Locked, 4WD Low, and Neutral without the need of additional vehicle power to hold the transfer case in these positions.
