C0072 Ford Description

This Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) sets when the temperature of the brake discs/drums, as calculated by the ABS module, exceeds a predetermined threshold, 450°C (841.4°F). This DTC usually sets due to the stability system being activated too long, excessive traction control events, excessive anti-lock events, etc. Retrieve and Diagnose all other Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module codes.
