Code B3527 Description

This window lockout switch or circuits that generate this Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) are built-in parts of the Driver Door Switch Assembly (DDSA). There are no external circuits. The DDSA internally supplies power and ground to the contacts of the window lockout switch. When the window lockout switch is operated, the switch contacts momentarily close to ground, providing the DDSA with a signal. The DDSA processes the signal, assigns to digital message to it, then sends the message to the passenger door modules via the class 2 serial data circuit. Upon receiving a class 2 message to lockout the passenger door windows, the passenger door modules will not allow their associated window to operate from the associated passenger door window switch.
If the window lockout is OFF deactivated, it will transition to ON activated when the switch button is momentarily pressed once. If the window lockout is already ON, it will transition to OFF when the switch button is momentarily pressed once. When the lockout is active, the switch button LED will be illuminated and the passenger door windows will not be operational from the passenger door window switches. However, the passenger door windows can still be operated from the appropriate power window switch built into the DDSA.
