Code B1D56 RAM Description

The Adjustable Pedals Switch is located on the left side trim of the drivers seat cushion. Fore and Aft movement of the paddle-type switch allows front-to-rear travel of the adjustable pedals, up to approximately 76 mm (3 inches) total movement. Pushing the paddle forward moves the peddles away from the driver and vice-versa. Movement stops when the switch is released. The switch actuates the electric motor-driven adjustable pedals mechanism through the Memory Seat Module (MSM). MSM logic prevents pedal adjustment while the speed control is set and when the transmission is in Reverse. The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will set when the Memory Seat Module (MSMD) detects a low signal circuit voltage that is not within voltage specification from the Adjustable Pedal Sensor.
