Code B1A20 RAM Description

The Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) is designed to protect against whole vehicle theft and provide passive protection against unauthorized vehicle start up. If an invalid key is used to start the vehicle, the engine will cut out after two (2) seconds of running. In subsequent years there were various modules controlling the VTSS system. Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) controls the VTSS system. The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter has been replaced with the Fob Integrated Key (FOBIK). The primary components of the system are the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN), FOB Integrated Key (FOBIK), and the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The system monitors vehicle doors, ignition and liftgate action for any unauthorized operation (includes hood switch for Export). The OBDII sets if the Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) pre-arm sequence is interrupted within sixteen seconds after securing the vehicle.
