My 2004 Pontiac vibe does not have a speed sensor in the normal location where it usually at. There is only a blank cap there, no wiring or connectors. Where else could it be.

Vehicle: 2004 vibe 1.8 with ABS Brake system.

HI there

If you have ABS brakes, then the speed signal is sent from the speed sensors at each wheel to the ABS computer. Then the ABS computer sends the signal to the ecm and the speedometer. To locate the failed part, many times you need a good scan tool. It could be a problem with the abs computer, the speedometer itself or the ecm
