I have a 1996 Chevrolet K-1500 Silverado 5.0L 180.000 miles. I recently replaced the intake gasket, and get the trouble code for cam/crank correlation. My question is would this make the truck chug at certain times. When I just ease into it, you can feel it kind of pulse a little, and at highway speed it sometimes bucks like you age going down a very rough road. Could this be caused by this, or is there something else I need to look at?

Best answer
P1345 CKP / CMP correlation

Yes this will make the engine chug at times,, this code is due to the CMP located in the distributor not correlated with the CKP, if the distributor is installed correctly and the problem is persistent check the inside of the distributor its reluctor tends to shift out of position and a new distributor would be required
