We are getting a code P0700 on my Caravan. I am not having any trouble driving or shifting but the dashboard gauges go all the way to the right and back when I start it, my headlights sometimes refuse to come on, the bell in the door rings as I get out even if the key isn't in the ignition, and the engine light is on. Checked codes at Autozone, also had a code P0073. Any ideas?

P0700 means that there is a problem with the transmission, but it doesn't specified what is the problem. Th P0700 is usually combine with another transmission code. If you have no other transmission problems I suggest erasing the code first.

The other problem of the gauges and the headlight may not be related to the the P0700 code.

The P0073 is for the Ambient Air Temperature Sensor. Since the code is not common, I also suggest erasing the code first. if the code comes back, you may have to replaced the sensor.

Headlight problem is faulty headlight switch, I had mine replaced when car was still pretty new, and it is still tricky now they may have upgraded the switch since 05. same thing with door chime its in the switch, gauge cluster problem is a mystery even to my friend who is a mechanic, it may be a ground problem, it doesn't happen often enough for me to go to the dealer. hope some of this helps
