I have a 2001 Santee GL. About a year ago I got the p0172 and po173 code. I replaced almost everything including a pcv, egr and a new Bosch MAF. I was driving on the freeway and the CEL came on, I used by code reader and it said po102 MAF VAK VOLUMN FLOW CIRCUIT SENSOR LOW 2 OF 2 PO102 (pd) FLOW SENSOR CIRCUIT LOW. I first checked all the hoses and they are in perfect condition. I then took the MAF and cleaned it with MAF cleaner. The code remained and ran really bad in idle. I then took the MAF off again and cleaned it again but accidently used carb cleaner. I then resparyed with MAF cleaner and let it dry. I then cleaned the throttle with cleaner. I disconnected the battery for about an half an hour. When I start it now the idle is much worst and stalls. When I accelerate though it seems it has gained power. I ran the code reader again and now it saids po103 MAF and thats all. Can a MAF go bad that fast. I just ordered a new MAF and will get here in a few days. If I put the new MAF on and it doesnt work what could it be? I have heard that a purge control vavle can cause that sort of problem but dont know how to test it or what it looks like. My son is going to college in the fall and have completely restored the car to brand new and now this happens-any help would be appreciated-Thanks
