5.3 V-8, This occurs usually at idle or when coasting. I cycle the shut off by opening and locking the door 3 times. The engine cuts off when the code comes in. The reduced power light comes on, as does the  reduced traction light. It is occurring more frequently. I have seen contradictory posts on the cause, but none have had the same lights I am seeing. I have just looked at the control module location, and see no problems. Under the cover there are 2 different modules. Since programming seems needed, I am guessing it is not an amateur job. Thank you for your help.

This code when it set is not  module specific , so it depends on which module set the code, the ECM (engine control module)  , the TCM (transmission control module)  and FPCM (fuel pump control module) What you describe is the ECM. because its the ECM make sure there is no APP (accelerator pedal position ) and TPS code that is set, Then reprogram the ECM. When it comes to this type of code from the P0601 to P0605 the battery terminal, it good to  check that,  this is the reason for proper battery negative ground. and good battery , when the alternator charges it produces a magnetic flux that flux has to be grounded by means of battery termainal ground and a good battery.
