P1153 Insufficient switching Bank 2 Sensor 1

Bank 2 is where cylinder 2 is located and being sensor 1 this makes it the upstream 02 sensor or the engine management sensor, so the side it would be at would be near your heater core. If there is a exhaust leak just prior to the 02 sensor then it can cause the 02 sensor to not switch properly. The way the 02 sensor works, it just a negative coefficient temperature sensor. It monitors exhaust heat. If the exhaust temperature is below 360 degree Celsius it will not produce any voltage and it will respond as a open circuit. So exhaust leak will and can cause P1153 0r a P1151

This vehicle has a P1153 and the exhaust leak is at the flange gasket, the vehicle is running and I can touch the 02 sensor without getting burned,

Here the gasket for the exhaust is just getting replaced, and the 02 sensor is shown.
