P0455 Emission system leak detected (Large leak)

If the smoke test was performed it obviously pass. What set off this code is the FTP (Fuel tank pressure) sensor. The voltage to the FTP is good or it would of code a FTP sensor code condition. You have three component that can cause P0455  1) The FTP, 2) Purge control solenoid valve 3) Canister closed valve. If the purge valve failed it would code P0455 and a Purge control solenoid code, if the cannister closed valve failed it would code a vent control code. Todays ECM is smart when the CK ENG LT appear it has a freeze frame that will show what the condition where ,that caused the code. This is the FTP.
