I have a 2004 Subaru outback wagon. My check engine light is on, cruise control button blinking and a heavy burning smell. I had it put on a scan and the code P2096 came up, the code was cleared but came back on a few days later.
what does this mean and is it a costly repair?

Vehicle: 2004 subaru outback wagon (legecy) 2.5

Hi there,

This code is a post converter code. Typically it's caused by a faulty rear O2 sensor or an exhaust leak. usually about $250 roughly to repair.
