I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2003, which for the last month has suddenly displayed the airbag symbol on the instrument panel.

On further investigation we discovered leaving the key in the ignition switch the code of P0703. This showed us the correct code for a fault. But the code did not correspond with the symbol warning light being displayed in the panel. Does this give us two individual problems; are they one and the same, or connected in some other way completely? Are the airbags somehow connected by their function, in some way, if there is a problem with the Jeep's own braking system?

Any feedback would be appreciated to solve this problem so we can get it fixed, and have a safe Jeep once more.

Thanks for any advise.
