What causes the engine code P0340 on my 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.8L?

HI there,

The code is for the bank 1 camshaft position sensor. This is usually the problem with this code. Replacing the sensor most of the time will resolve the problem. The engine timing being off can also cause the problem.
