Ok here it goes, my husbands truck has been surging for months now, it wont pass smog because of it. He has changed every sensor , throttle body sensor, air flow sensor, swirl valve sensor??? i think every one under the hood. Has any one else had this problem what else could he try? Its a 1997 nissan pickup 2 wheel drive 5 speed 4 cyl. Any thing is better than what we have right now...

Near the battery is the "Swirl Control Valve Control Vacuum Check Switch" (see attached image) check the hose that connects to the switch (marked yellow). It's very common for the hose to get clogged. Just clean the hose and clear the code

What kind of symptoms would I notice if it's clogged? I have a 1997 Nissan pickup 4cyl, 2WD. Almost no power and sputtering a lot. And if it's not clogged, how do I know which swirl control valve piece is the problem?
